At a very young age, Femi Adebayo saw the future at a very close range, utilized every opportunity. And today, the dynamic actor is making money on all fronts. He has institutionalized the theatre industry, grooming young talents through his school of performing arts.
Femi Adebayo is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of J15 school of Performing Arts, an institution professionally organized to train young people and groom talents in all the theater activities including Acting, Costume and Make-up, Set Designing, Property Development and Management, Directing, Song Composition and Dance Choreography. Very humorous and accommodating, Femi’s high sense of humour is but natural.
That’s why he was able to produce a comedy movie entitled, “JELILI’, that ended up becoming the first in contemporary Nigerian theatre, when a Nollywood movie became a box office hit that sold across the country. The euphoria hardly settled down when he produced “ILE ALAYO” that virtually took over all the Nigerian television screens and cinemas. Words aren’t just enough to describe the success recorded by these two movies – JELILI and ILE ALAYO.
Femi Adebayo has had many memorable moments in life but his most memorable day was July 15, 2005. That was the day he had his first baby, a girl.
That really explains the rationale behind naming his school of performing Arts, J. 15 School of performing arts, to immortalize the day he was blessed with a bouncing baby girl. According to Femi “In all my life, I have been praying to God to give me a girl as my first child and God answered my fervent prayers on that day”, he said.
